What should I do with my little girl's hair?

I maxiglided my daughter's hair a month ago for the 1st time and was really suprised by the amount of breakage she has toward the ends. She normally wears her hair in cornrows or in afropuff ponytails/pigtails but I really think me and my mom have been putting way too much stress on her ends with all the combing. I'm thinking about just letting her wear her hair all out so we won't have to comb and brush as much. I want to try experimenting with IC Fantasia with spakelites and see if I can get her spirals to be uniform so she can rock a bob or something. But she just turned 6 and I don't think I've ever seen little girls with that type of hairstyle. Any suggestions?

I think if you lessen the stress on her hair and switch up the placement of the ponytails, braids, plaits, this will help. I think trying to have a 6 year old wear her hair out is a recipe for disaster.

How often are her cornrows redone? I agree with Crls, hair out on a 6 yr old... but you know your child. The best way to determine a resolution is to experiment.
