My absolute fav shampoo is the Aveda Damage Remedy shampoo. I leave it on for a minute or two and my hair feels like its conditioned! And of course it's so clean. I love it.

But, since you are taking price into consideration, I recommend the Elasta QP Creme Conditioning poo. It's a great softening shampoo that will leave your hair clean and silky. Hair One Olive cleansing conditioner (from Sally's) is really good, too. It cleans, softens, detangles like a dream, and it's a great leave in!!!

Wen (fig) cleansing conditioner makes my hair super soft.

I second this. The Wen Fig cleansing conditioner is the only shampoo that does not strip my hair and makes it soft afterward.
