Thanks for this thread. I needed to buy another silk scarf and I ended up going with Ebonicurls this time. Actually, I bought some other stuff too:lachen:
 
I think that my cheap satin bonnet from Walmart has cause breakage at my front hairline. I am now sleeping with a silk scarf and a bonnet on top.

If looking for a silk scarf, I recommend buying from reputable vendors online that knowing sale 100% silk that is actually 100% silk material.

I’ve purchased several scarves online from different vendors and brands and had to return them all over the past few weeks. Fraudulent labels saying 100% silk, even though there is no silk whatsoever.

I know what polyester feels like. I know what rayon feels like. I know what viscose feels like. Just because it’s woven in a satin weave to appear silky doesn’t mean it’s actual silk fabric. I returned them all.

I went to Nordstrom Rack after work today to see if they had any around. The first scarf I picked up because it looked like silk had a tag that said 100% silk. However, there was something about the feel of it that had me questioning. There was a roughness to one side that was also dull. There wasn’t a luxurious feel to either side. It didn’t seem smooth and moisture retaining.

I kept looking and found another scarf that said 100% silk. And OMG, the difference between the two scarves was night and day. And both scarves were the same style and same brand! The second scarf had a natural shimmer to it on both sides. Both sides felt soft and rubbing the scarf between the fingers felt like how a luxurious silk should feel. I have no doubts about this fabric.

But the two scarves side by side have me questioning the intentions of manufactures. Do they sell all these scarves under a 100% silk label, knowing good and well only a few real silk scarves are included in the bunch? You can’t trust tags alone.

BUMPING this thread so that I can read thoroughly in the morning because I have to retire this cap on my head soon.

I just found out about the Isoken Enofe bonnets (where have I been I know), but the one I like/want "Juju" isn't showing in stock anymore. :cry3:

If you ladies have found any other awesome Satin Bonnets since 2019, drop them in the thread please so that I can check them out. TIA!
