SherryLove, is that lye or no-lye? Your hair is so long and beautiful!

thanks jewelle....

phytorelaxer is 100 percent free of lye as opposed to no lye which contains minute amounts of lye.. a lot of the ladies here really like and rave about phytorelaxer.......and there are numerous posts on it... i began using it back in april of 2004, and i was happy to share my experience with the ladies here.... i have used dudleys, revlon, and affirm relaxers in the past; and none of them can compare to phytorelaxer... phytotheratrie (maker of phytorelaxer) has a customer for life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I use the new Optimum multi-mineral reduced PH relaxer. I just started using this 6 months ago. I love it! It makes me hair silky smooth. I use regular strength. It is a lye relaxer.

I thought Phyto was no lye...isn't is?

Elasta QP no lye...dry hard hair...hated it.
Phytospecific relaxer nice but reverts too fast on my hair. Eventually my hair wouldn't retain moisture.
I've also used Designer Touch Texturizing relaxer lye which was nice but reverted to fast for my hair.
Now I'm using Vitale Life and Body lye which I'm loving the best out of all the relaxers. Nice silky, straight hair. It's soft and wavy when wet.

I usually use Soft & Beautiful (No-Lye; Regular). My last relaxer was Africa's Best Organics (No-Lye; Regular). I only used this one because I couldn't find Soft & Beautiful in Regular after searching in three different stores. It was okay.....very straight, soft hair, but I had a few scalp concerns afterward. I'll be going back to Soft & Beautiful for my next relaxer.

My stylist uses the Elucence relaxer on my 4a hair and it turns out very straight each time. I would like to know more about the Phytorelaxer. What are all the raves about? Does anyone know how it compares to Elucence in performance and ingredients?

Hey Girl!
I've been using TCB Bone Straight for years but is in transition to ORS natural olive oil relaxer. Since I've started this whole healthy hair thing I went through my products and deleted some and keeping others. TCB never harmed my hair and it was always BONE STRAIGHT! I just want to try something with more caring ingredients

Hey BWE! what was it exactly about tcb that you didn't like. i would like to use ano-lye but worry about getting that frizzy look all over again after a couple of months!

In the past I've used Affirm and Mizani regular. Both are very good if you want your hair bone straight. I don't like my hair bone straight, so now I use Motions Salon Herbals (mild). I'm loving this for texturizing my hair. Gives it lots of body, and it leaves your hair nice and silky! No burning either. But I rarely burn anyway since I always base my scalp really good.

The best relaxer I used while relaxed was Soft & Beautiful Botanicals (regular). It is made for sensitive scalp and it always got my hair stick straight. It hardly even "tingled" when I used it.

My beautician switched on me and started using Design Essentials in Febuary, but I'm ok with it because it seems less harsh on my hair

I just put a Motions lye regular in my hair a couple of weeks ago. My hair is very soft. I have only used no lye for the past 4 years or so. I don't know if Motions is one of the best, but it's better than what I was using.
