what R the differences in these relaxers

box relaxers and relaxers in jars...What are the differences?
I've been using box relaxers almost all my life.
I am not familar with the relaxers that are in the jars..Are they professional relaxer? are they pre-mixed?
What are the best relaxer to use? the ones int the box or in the jar?

Relaxers in jars are usually "lye" sodium hydroxide formulas.

Relaxers in boxes are usually "no-lye" calcium hydroxide formulas.


Lye is said to be easier on hair, and harsher on the scalp, no-lye is said to be easier on the scalp and harsher on the hair.
