What products under $10 do you love?

Agreed! I also use Lou Ana coconut oil and it is sold for $4.99 at Wal-Mart. I found a 16 oz bottle of Grapeseed oil at GNC for $9.99 and then found the 32 oz bottle at TJ Maxx for the same price. Ross, TJ Maxx and Marshalls are great places to find oils such as Grapeseed, Sweet Almond, Walnut and Avocado if you are like me and live in a city where these oils are not sold in nearby grocery stores.

Thanks for the idea !! I am currently doing the "no buy" as I use up my large stash  but when I'm ready to shop again, I'll look at these discount stores too.

*cracks knuckles* This is my area of expertise  As I am a broke behind SAHM with a tightfisted DH

Infusium 23 leave-in: $6-7 @ Target

aloe vera gel (a juice consistency though)- Puritan's Pride or Camden Grey... $4-7 (depending on size of bottle)

coconut oil- $10 a pound from Puritans, but I can get it way cheaper at my local Indian store or the Caribbean food store

Suave Humectant- $2.50 for a 32 oz bottle! :yay:

Kenra Moisturizing Conditioner- just under $10 for a liter, though I bought a gallon sized jug last year and still haven't run out  it came out cheaper to buy it by the gallon

shea butter- only a couple dollars per small tub from FNWL, also Camden Grey

Vatika oil- $4 can be gotten online or from the Indian store

whole avocados- $1 smash 'em up and mix with Kenra for a :notworthy DC

It's important not to spend too much on hair stuff... and I think the best quality products are the natural things that are super cheap anyway.

Vitamin shoppe sells alot of these things listed under $10
Grapeseed oil
Jojoba
Coconut oil
Jason products
Givonnai
Millcreek

Good thread, let's save money in 2010.
Aussie Moist
Elasta QP Mango Butter
BPT Wheat Germ Rinse
EVOO
Swastik Shikakai shampoo bars

This is all I can think of for the moment.

Please save the  since that was uncalled for...................

You can find coconut oil inexpensively in many grocery stores among the cooking oils - Louana Coconut Oil comes in a 32 oz jar for less than $10.

I have also found grapeseed oil and sweet almond oil inexpensively in the cooking aisle.

Off to User CP to update my ignore list.
Sorry about that, Where I live EVCO is hard to find that cheap even at walmart it's $10 for only 16oz. (Not Louana brand )

Elasta QP (Intense is awesome) everything! (Except the Design liquid, hated that)

Rusk Sensories Smoother Leave In (Passion Flower and Aloe)--$8.99 in some places

OP,

Not sure of your texture but I find Castor oil in the drug store in the laxative section. Not very glamorous LOL but it is a good, very heavy oil great for sealing in moisture on wet hair, especially the ends.

It may be too heavy for those who strainghten but if you are natural, it's a great buy for less than $5.

A lighter oil is Apricot Kernel Oil and I bought a 4 oz bottle for less than $5 at the health food store.
