What products do you use before scrunching?

I am transitioning so I guess I'm more interested in what relaxed head use to scrunch their hair since that is the part of my hair that will be scrunched.

I tried scrunching for the very first time today. I am surprised with the results and would like to give it another try! I did my regular hair routine but used Pantene Hydrating Curls as a leave-in. I put my hair in a ponytail and scrunched the ponytail.

My eyes caught John Frieda's Dreamy Curls at Ulta today but I didn't pick it up though I am interested.

So, what do you use to scrunch?

I am really interested too. A while back I read that Frieda's Ripple Effect works well. I plan to try later on this week.

I use my leave-in du jour followed by a bit of Aura Humectant Pomade followed by Frederic Fekkai Wave Creating Spray.
