I'm using Infusium23 and Carefree Curl Moisturizing Spray, and I used watered-down condishoner to co-wash 1-2xweek. I spray my hair daily.

also using OCT and Megatek mixed wit a sulfur-based scalp oil on my scalp

I use Hawaiian silky 14-in-1,and while I'm in here, do you ladies think its better to trim before you get braids or after you take them out?

Its all about infusium baby!!! I use the leave-in called moisturologie and sometimes apply a light cream to my scalp whenever I want to. One staple and must have is really Infusium.

For shampoo I use CREME OF NATURE the white bottle with teh green label and yellow cap. I had the same shampoo for a while because I only use it while im in braids. It does a great job at cleaning my scalp. I dilute it with water in my hands and rub it on my scalp ...The smell is kind of strong for me. As for a conditioner, I use Suave coconut CO or anything I have on hand. Mostly garlic conditioner or a very light Conditionner.

any specific shampoo and conditioner you used?

definitely after you take them out. for one, your hair will look neater if you didn't trim before the braids (little hairs will be sticking out left and right), plus, after the braids, you will have a little more length to "play with", so the trim will be better, IMO.

I use diluted Infusium 23 and water and spray my hair/scalp daily or twice a day. I oil my scalp with Jojoba oil and I try to remember to MT nightly before bed. I use V05 for cowashes and wash every two weeks with diluted shampoo (I had OCT last time but I just recently got tree braids and will probably use my hairveda or blended beauty.) hth

Besides shampoo and conditioner and ACV when I wash, I don't use anything else on my hair when in braids. I do baggy every day. If I just DC'd with Emergencee, then I shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo like Therappe or Elucence. Otherwise, since I like the clean feeling of an oil-free scalp, I usually used Trader Joe's shampoo, Garnier Fructis...mostly the gel-like shampoos to clean my scalp on normal washes. Then I'd squeeze my hair as suds washed away during the rinse. I used any moisturizing conditioner (Trader Joe's Nourish, Elucence, NTM, Organix...etc). I never applied conditioner to my scalp. I ACV rinsed at the end of every wash. I airdried. I washed my hair twice a week. I do my own braids so keeping them neat was no problem as I retouched them as needed when relaxing.

Almost any hair spritz (homemade, shescentit's or hairveda's). I do a tea rinse whenever I feel like it for strength. And I like to oil my scalp every other day with mahabhringaraj oil or a growth aid like BT. I wash with a diluted shampoo (the only time I use shampoo on a regular basis...I cowash when not in braids)

I used to use Better Braids Spray, which was good, but now I'm using more natural products. I also used Infusium 23 leave-in.

ame ones i always use...lol. Umm, I shampoo/ condition my hair @ least every two weeks...maybe three. and combine all my fave moisturizers into a spray i use daily. in that I only include. Kids organics shea butter detangler, glycerin, and WATER. btw, my hair THRIVES in braids:)

The only change I make is using S CURL for moisture. S Curl leaves my hair super moisturized. When I take down the braids, I have a fierce braidout.
