What do you use that gives your hair that wave pattern or helps to bring out your natural texture so well? Ive been experimenting with a few things that work, but they make my hair very oily and greasy feeling. Looking for some other options now...

Hi, What oils/butters have you tried so far? I love shea butter, avocado butter, avocado oil, jojoba and coconut oil, but none of these have contributed to my "wave pattern", the only thing I can say that actually does that for me is water + gel. The oils just provide shine/nourishment for my hair.

ETA: sorry, I see what you mean. I would recommend avocado oil/butter. :)

I know they can definitely provide nourishment and shine to the overall hair, but like in Sareca's pics, she has that wave or I guess specific texture to her hair that is very noticeable. Maybe Im describing it the wrong way or something:ohwell: Ive tried coconut oil, mango butter, a mixture of olive oil and my humectant conditioner that gave me that "wave"(??) but my hair was somewhat greasy afterwards.

Sareca, what is EFA??

Mango butter is great for bringing out your texture. Also..Fantasia IC gel *non-alcoholic* is awesome..for bringing out those waves...It's amazing!!!

Don't sleep on Garnier Fructis CURL N' SHINE Leave In....that stuff is amazing. Not greasy at all! :nono:

Ok Im all late and whatnot, been off the site for a few days, but thank you for the replies ladies! Candy C thats exactly what Im talking about!!! I think my description was a bit vague. I have to order some avocado butter!!!

One thing I noticed with oils and butters regardless of which one I use, they only bring out the waviness if my hair is wet or damp. Otherwise, they only dry my hair out.
