Hai, hair gurus! I would like to know whether anyone uses hair leave~in conditioners/products that are gentle on the face. I know the pillow case can transfer pore~clogging ingredients to the skin, but my natural conditioner that I use seems to be breaking mine out anyway.

Just in case, I would like to switch to another leave~in. What would You recommend?

sometimes it's also the oil used for sealing... sunflower oil is great for sealing and completely non pore clogging.

Stay away from oils and ingredients that clog your pores. This list can include some oils, mineral oil, lanolin, isopropyl myristate, and some cones. You have to do your research when using products and keep an eye open for how certain ingredients react on your skin. Because mineral oil may break me out, but it might not break you out, even though we both have acne prone skin.

When I was natural, I had major hair product leakage because I'd often go to sleep with damp twists. So, I bought cheap pillow cases to change out frequently to avoid this.

Also, it could be possible that the product is still on your face from rinsing your hair in the shower. This is why I cleanse my face after I do the last rinse on my hair.

I agree definitely wash your face after shampoo/conditioning in the shower. I also cover my hair up with a satin scarf at night so I don't have to worry about the hair product residue coming in contact with my skin.

Giovanni leave-in is good. It seems to be pretty light and doesn't leave your hair feeling overly coated like it could rub off on skin or pillowcases.

I also co-sign this. I bought some cheap pillowcases & change them out every day or every other day depending on how/if I wash my hair.

And since I started co-washing in the shower, all that grime-oil-debri runs down your face AND your body when in the shower so I wash my face last.

You have to keep all leave-ins off & hair products off your face..you cant just pinpoint which one of hundreds will keep you clear.
