I have read what different ladies use. I am interested to know which ingredients one looks for in a good leave-in conditioner.

Also: Does leave-in=heat protectant?

Thank you! Although I'm not a newbie, I'm still learning.:)

I look at my end results, moisture and no protein. I currently use Keracare leave in conditioner and it keeps my hair beautiful. I only use a dime size amount to avoid having that weighed down look. As far as ingredients I try to avoid too much alcohol and zero protein. When I used Giovanni, which is a protein based leave in it left my hair tangly and more prone to breakage.

Hope this helps.

I just look for certain phrases on the bottle like: moisturing, heat protectant, detangling, etc. I will know if I like it based on how moistured my hair feels after I have applied the product and my hair dries completely. I love Lacio lacio and silicon mix for that.
