What kind of semi permanent?

I'm looking to add color to my hair without a permanent commitment. Nothing drastic, just a dark auburn or something. Has anybody had success with a particular brand of semi-per sticking true to it's label color? I'm clueless as to where to start looking.

I've had really good luck with Adore Semi-Permanent. I used the Sienna Brown. It gave me exactly the color I expected. Semi-perms won't lighten your color though.

I love Softsheen Rejuvatone. I've been using it for a couple of years and it always works well for me. I like it because it usually lasts thru several washes and the color/tint is very vibrant.

What kind of a color did that give you cindy? And can temps, rinses, and semi's at least
add a slight depositary color only visible in the sun?

I've used the blue/black, black, dark brown and the spicy copper. The spicy copper will give a really nice reddish tint in the sun.

I used Wella Color Charm semi-perm in June (Violet) and it gave my dark brown hair a subtle tint of violet that I liked very much. Plus it covered my few grey strands adequately.

It's Sept now and my hair is extremely healthy so I will keep using it from time to time.
After the coloring debacle I had last year with Feria I am extremely cautious and on the lookout for any signs of dryness or damage from color but so far none detected.

Perhaps you should try Rejuvatone in Mahogany. If your hair is black, then it probably won't show though.

Do you have a lot of bleeding or color leaching with the Wella Color-Charm? That's my main gripe with semi-perm colors.

Clairol Natural Instincts is a good semi-permanent. I used Dark Auburn and another one of the brown shades. It covers my gray really well and gives my hair a nice brown tint under the sun. Since my hair is naturally black, I have to be in the sun to really see the color results. I have never had a problem with it, and there's no bleeding out of the color when you wash your hair between colorings!
