What kind of deals did you get at Bronner Brothers hair show?

So I went to the Bronner Brothers hair show today looking for the FHI Runway. They were selling for $250 but were all gone. I got an even better deal though since they knocked off $100 on the demo model. I was also able to get an FHI blow dryer for $75 and they gave me a couple of freebies. Also got a no name mini flat iron for my roots for $15.

Did anybody find great deals at the hair show?

I loved it. I will definitely go again next year.

My mother is in town for the show. Every day she has come home with those large red bags. And I cant have any LOL for your salon.

First of all, I was disappointed that Design Essentials did not have a booth, but since JC Penney had the buy one get one for $1.00 sale, I didn't sweat it.

My deals:

Dr. Joyce Williams hair food $10.00 (16 oz)

Motions protein reconstructor, treatment shampoo, treatment conditioner, leave in conditioner and hair lotion (all 16 oz) for $15.00

Mizani thermasmooth shampoo, conditioner, smooth guard and shine extend for $32.00. (wonderful deal)

cream of nature shampoo and conditioner (both 32 oz) with treatment conditioner for $15.00

Marcel curling iron $5.00

Also, plenty of make up and other things.

It seems like a lot of people went to that show. If I lived in Atlanta, I would've definitely attended. I guess it's a good thing that I couldn't go, because I know I would've spent a lot of money. :yep:

crazydaze: It was 30 per day in advance or 48 for 3 day pass unless you wanted to purchase VIP Tickets.

I got a bundle of Mixed Chicks Products for 35 that wouldve cost me over 50 if I purchased online. I also got Jane Carter's Nourishing Hair Cream for $10 and its usually $22.
I know this doesnt really count, but I got two pairs of PZI Jeans that retail for 90+ for $30 a piece...and makeup and brushes for cheap.

I got that no-name mini $15 iron, too! Is it red? It works like a champ...I was pleasantly surprised!

I got the Mizani Butter Blends relaxer set for $62: Mild formula, 4 lb rhelaxer, the honey shield (1L), Butter base (16 oz), PerPHecting creme (1L), Hair bath (1L), TWO Microfusion, and some squeeze applicator bottle whose function I'm confused about.

From the other vendor, I got a 30 oz tub of Mizani Moisturefuse conditioner.

I was able to stay under my projected $200 hair swag budget...but my purchases were so heavy that it was no joke totin' them to my car several blocks away!

Did anybody the blatant display and sale of counterfeit luxury bags and accessories there? The feds would have shut that place down had they known about it. I was worried for the vendors!

Mine is purple and heats to 410 degrees. Not sure if its the same but I remember they had other colors... Haven't tried mine yet but I'm going to use it the next time I BKT. Couldn't find a mini that went up to 450 degrees. :ohwell:

This sounds funny but I can relate! I was thinking I'd spend $250 minimum between the flat iron and blow dryer and was hoping I would max out at $300 if I got anything else. I think my total was $261. Here's the break down...

  1. FHI Runway flat iron $150
  2. FHI Blow Dryer $ 75
  3. FHI T-Rex Hair Clips $ 10 (Bought 2 pairs of 2 clips for $5 each)
  4. FHI heat resistent flat iron case & pad FREE
  5. Mini Flat Iron $ 15
  6. Do Rags (4) $ 6
  7. Red Faux Croc Purse FREE (Got it with the mini flat iron and do rags for spending over $20 - Only reason I got the do rags...)
  8. California Green Press & Curl Cream $5
  9. California Green Shampoo FREE (They were trying to get rid of the stuff to keep from hauling it back to Cali)
Has anybody tried the California Green products? Its supposed to be a natural product that extends the life of a press. After I got home, I looked it up online. There isn't much info but what I saw mentioned salt being a key agent in a sister product called California Curl. (That's a natural organic relaxer, I think?) There really wasn't much detail about the California Green product. I may call tomorrow for more info. Its made by Willie Morrow. This is the same guy that has the heavy duty blow dryer comb attachment and wrote the book 400 Years Without A Comb.

Whoa! You did it big! And a Runway for only $150???

I got a pack of T-Rex clips. I was going to buy two, but I don't know why I didn't.

My flat iron looks like the 3/8 or 4/10 FHI iron, but it's red. It has adjustable temp, which is a blessing for me because I have fine hair and I'm also double-processed. Drawback to it is that it's in Celsius and isn't UL approved. Oh well.

I'm interested in the California Green stuff. Bumping for answers.

I'm gonna be in ATL in about 2 weeks, but I wish I was there for the show just to get that deal.

It really makes my chest hurt when I think about it.
I MISSED out on the $150 FHI runway.

I guess there's always the next hair show....hopefully the price may be even lower by then?? *wishful thinking*
