I have one spot in the back of my head that that needs Regular strength- the rest of my head needs something milder.

Would it be better to add in conditioners and oil to reg. relaxer or

Would it be better to use mild on the rest of my head????

Thanks!!

Purchase a relaxer that does so. Try:

Affirm Control Relaxer
Design Essentials Sensitive Scalp (no-lye) or "Time Release" formula

Perhaps, do the most resistant hair 1st then add your oil and process the other areas last (that are more receptive last).:yep:

That's what I do (the middle of my hair is the same way), I even smooth it a little, where as to the rest of my head, I don't smooth it.

Relax in sections to handle your timing better, coat your hair lightly with oil, use a mild relaxer and/or do a stand test on your tough spot to see how much time you can deal with without overprocessing. HTH

Thanks Ladies:yep:

Thanks so much for clueing me in I didn't even know that such a thing/concept existed:kiss:. I will definitely look into this.

Hairdrama- I am so intrigued by relaxing in sections, but I am just unsure about how to go about it, without getting the other section(s) wet. I am going to check youtube and see if I might find a tutorial.

T-Perhaps, do the most resistant hair 1st then add your oil and process the other areas last (that are more receptive last)

I was thinking that^^^^but then just wondered if I would be better off buying mild.

Great info in here!

I agree with using Design Essentials Sensitive Scalp. I love that relaxer! Also adding oils to the relaxer, not processing for the full time recommended, or just oiling your hair will slow the process.
