What is reversion?

When it comes to a relaxer, anyway. I sometimes see folks saying their relaxer has reverted, and I'm not sure what that means.

I understand that when a press reverts it means that your hair has reverted back to its pre-pressed state (literally).

But a relaxer can't do that, can it? It just looks like you don't have a relaxer anymore, correct? A few people IRL say to me the relaxer reverted, and they act like their hair is no longer relaxed. My relaxer never reverted during my 20+ years of being relaxed.

I hope this is clear.

I think when ppl say their relaxer reverts they actually mean their hair is not as strait as when it was relaxed. It happened to me and I relaxed my hair bone strait. Within 2 weeks the straitness was gone. My hair is 1/2 strait and the rest wavy/curly. What should I call this then because what you said really makes sense.:scratchch I now look texlaxed, not relaxed.
