Can anyone tell me what co-washing is and some of it's benefits.

Hello! CO washing is "washing" your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo. Some of the ladies who CO wash have a specific conditioner they use for the "wash" (like Suave or V05) and then one they use after for the actual conditioning. I CO wash daily with Elucence Moisture balance only, and it works for me. I just apply it to wet hair when I get n the shower, then comp it through with a wide toothed shower comb at the end. It's very beneficial for naturals b/c it helps to keep the hair moisturized and not stripped and tangled the way shampoo can. There are also relaxed ladies that CO wash, esp. those who are doing protective styling such as buns and phony ponies. Hope that helps.
