what have you guys used from carols daughter?

Some of Margurite's Magic: didn't like--I think it would work well for Naturals though

Tui Hair Oil: Love this, wonderful scent also

Jazi Juice: dislike because of the smell, smells like grandma's medicine cabinet or something

Hair Milk: Like this, good product

Khoret Amen Oil: nice blend of oils, supposed to stimulate growth( I believe it would if I would use it consistently because it has most of the oils in it that were in the post on this board about the oil blend that stimulates growth)

Hair Balm: This is nice to add to shampoos because it's got honey in it.

I have used some of the Hair Milk that (I think Sweetcocoa) sent me half a bottle of. I used it didn't like it on my relaxed hair so I tried in on my lil cousin's 4b type hair. It didn't take on her hair either very well. I wasn't very impressed by it. I need something a lil thicker than that.

To be honest I think a lot of people may have used the same product but experienced different things from it. Do CD products offer samples. It might be worth trying to find out rather than purchasing a full size product and be unhappy with it.

To date all the items I tried I love- the Lady day herbal rinse, Khoret amen hair oil & shampoo. I like them alot! /images/graemlins/smile.gif. But I have PJism which caused attackes. So when I am in Ulta or CVS it hits, I buy, I feel bad ( well a little bit). But, then when I get ready to order CD I think" Girl, what about that stuff you have and need to use or give away first... sorry about all that last part that was wayyy OT.

I have used the following -
The Healthy Hair Butter - great on my natural hair. Helps me define my natural curls and gives me moisture. I didn't like it when I was transitioning... was too heavy on the relaxed part.

The Mimosa Hair honey - great on both natural and relaxed hair. Gives me great shine(and it smells yummy).

The hair milk....hated it on both relaxed and natural(I sent the rest to Lonondiva so she could try it out...I don't think she liked it either).

I want to try Margeruite's Magic.

Oh, BTW-- When I use the hair milk, I put it on wet hair. My hair dries to a nice finish.

And I don't know if they have samples, but many of the hair products come in very small sizes, like 2 oz. That's how I tried most of mine(by ordering small sizes first)

Someone sent me the healthy hair butter a long while ago. I didn't like it on my relaxed hair at all. I ended up tossing it out.

Allandra the next time you feel like 'tossing something out'...email me...lol I'll swing by your job on the way home and pick it up. My co-worker just gave me her batch of hair butter cause she's relaxed and didn't like it..but she knows I love that stuff.

I used a whole bunch of products and now I use none. Her stuff is too sweet for me the butter is too heavy for for my hair as is the mimosa so....

Sweetcocoa,

I will definitely keep you in mind. I did that 'tossing out' prior to everyone going through the PJ stages. /images/graemlins/grin.gif Thank goodness I know what my hair likes now. I'm no longer a hair care product junkie.

Healthy Hair Butter - was to heavy on my relaxed hair
Tui Hair Oil - love the smell and it works well too
Lisa's Hair Elixir - the peppermint oil makes my scalp tingle
Hair Balm - didn't like, too greasy
Mimosa Hair Honey - love the smell gives my hair lots of shine
Hair Milk - LUV IT! I use on wet hair prior to roller set, my curls are bouncy and shiny when dry

I've tried her shampoo and conditioner that came with the Saturday Morning Special Kit but they didn't work for me.
