What have you found that loosens texture?

Dabur Amla Oil
Shikakai Oil

For my hair,
shampoos with sodium hydroxide (lye) (i.e. Mizani Thermasmooth)
Pureology Nanoworks Conditioner
Organix Coconut Milk Conditioner (the coconut milk really helps soften and detangle)
Shikaikai Powder (I used this once and hated it, it loosened my texture too much and caused major shedding)

I have found that this Shikakai bar soap from east west bazaar has loosend my texture. I would say I'm pretty happy with how my hair looks because of it. I did texlax my hair last year, I dint think I will even need to do that again using the Shikakai bar soap

since i'm one of those sistas that would prefer to be without the natural coily texture, I'd love to get me some of that silica! straightening my natural hair sounds like a great side effect!
