I have a Jilbere De Paris also but I plan on upgrading cause mines suck and it always has a burnt smell to it.

I have a Wigo ceramic flat iron((gift)and recently recieved a Sedu flat iron as a Christmas gift...I keep hearing about the Maxiglide but the Sedu had over 500 excellent reviews....I am very happy with it..

I have the Gold n Hot ceramic flat iron with adjustable dial for my roots when stretching (think it's one inch)

And the Babyliss Pro ceramic flat iron (it's a little bit larger)

i have a jilbere de paris- profession ceramic vented flat iron for use on wet or dry hair- got it at sally's beauty supply for $39.99 and i love it.

I have a solia 1 inch flat iron. I really like it and it cost $85 and came with a free thermal pouch to store it in and to set the flat iron on. I got mine from www.folica.com.

I have a Solia ceramic 1 1/4 in. Total price inc. shipping $88.00 from Folica.com. It does a very good job and my hair really moves:)

This is the same one I have. Since I only use it infrequently (during stretches on my roots only when I've done a rollerset), it works just great.

Diva, have you used it on wet/damp hair? If so, does it make a difference (positive) in the way your hair looks and feels?

i have a Revlon Hair Straightener: Perfect Heat Professional Ceramic Straightener, 1", Model V062 that i got for xmas. i used it once but because i was scared of using too much heat on the ends i didn't get the results i wanted the first time (the ends were somewhat fluffy, not silky looking)

anyway it appears to get a good iron for about $30 it is ceramic and does have 25 heat settings. (the highest i did was 18)

overall i am still on the fense but then again i am not interested in plunking down $100+ on a heat tool either so this will have to do for now

here is a pic

It's been two years since the post. I'm interested in hearing from ladies who previously posted here. Are you still with the same flat iron? How's your progress? How often do you use it/them? Advice?

I have a Maxiglide and have actually bought two, one for my friend who was always borrowing mine. I'm off the heat for the next few months at least, but I'm wondering if I should stick with what I have (it works fine, but my hair is dry so I don't know if it's the machine or my hair) or try somehthing new. I only pass it through 2x MAX at medium heat (no idea what temp that is), so I'm looking for something that can straighten my nearly natural air dried hair in one pass on a lower temp.
