Seriously, are they just tiny dreds or what? I don't understand why you have to go to a certified person to do them etc. I looked on the website, but I'm still clueless :confused::confused:

My sister-in-law recently got them and they do kinda look like really tiny dreads. But her hair is curly so the dreads are sorta in spiral curls. I had to look closely to tell.

Sister locks are basically micro sized locs. The reason that you need to go to a certified loctician, is because there is a special tool and technique used to install them, as well as retighten them when your hair grows.

Thanks for the replies, ladies. This had always been a mystery to me, but now I think I get it.

The pics on the website look nice. Seems like a great way to grow your hair long.

Warning: They may or may unlock. The procedure to unlock them can take days and there is no guarantee that the hair will unlock.

They are tiny dreds. Look at them as being permenant. Don't use them as a way to grow hair unless you want to grow locs.

I've seen these before and didn't know what they were called. I just knew I didn't like them :nono:.
