What Does It Mean When You Twists Take Forever To Dry?

Sounds like low porosity. Does your hair get soaking wet immediate when water hits it, or does it take like a minute or so to get saturated?

It may take a minute. I thought it was because of product build up.

Another fact in hand with low porosity is being heavy handed.

My hair just dried after 24 hours. In one spot it took around 36 hours. I was heavy handed in that place with my leave in.

My twists do that when I use certain products. Mainly pudding-like products.

I think the only way you could gauge porosity as it relates to drying time on twists is if you did it on naked hair, hair that has product in it will dry differently then hair that doesn't.

My hair is high porosity and it takes a while to dry when I use heavier products.

You can always do the wet strand test to see what your porosity is. Some debate it's effectiveness but it can serve as a good starting point.
