I just bought some...only second day of taking it...supposed to help with hair and nails...

It helps to thicken hair and also promotes growth in hair and nails. If you take these be sure to drink a lot of water because biotin often causes breakouts especially with very high dosages.

I haven't noticed increased hair growth, but I'm taking 5000mcg of Biotin because it keeps my face clear. And I've noticed my nails are stronger as well.

I am taking 5000 per day for the last three months.
my new growth in the crown of my head fills very thick
In other areas it is not
Would bioten cause that?

Biotin is a part of the B vitamin family. It helps with the production of hair, skin, and nails. If a person is Biotin deficient most likely they would have brittle and dry hair and nails and their skin may appear lackluster and dull.

had been taking biotin for about a week now. so far, skin is doing okay. is it still too soon to tell???

I was wondering if Biotin helps with growth or health of hair?

It's supposed to thicken hair and nails. All it did was cause me to break out in huge boil like pimples.:nono: I drank a ton of water but it still caused the worst acne of my adult life .

Biotin is "THE" hair vitamin that the hair need. It helps thicken the hair. Keeps the nails strong and make tips very white. I love this stuff. I notice more hair thickness than hair growth though.

Is there any waty to measure how much my hair has grown from retouch to retouch?

You're skin will probably be the first thing that let's you know whether it's working or not (because it renews it's cells on a daily basis whereas hair and nails take longer to grow out). But you're skin will most likely appear more radiant and less dry and/or blotchy.

Hmm, maybe. I know some gals take a b50 complex to ward off the breakouts. Here's Candy_C's response to a girl who was having problems.

you've probabley been taking it totally wrong

you need to take it together with b50 complex

and flaxseed oil

PLUS

multi vitamin once a day too

at night

with hot water

try that

and take 1,000mcg (1mg) thats enuff!!!!!!!

anymore than that make my hair thicker not longer
