what do you use to rollerset

its been a while since i started my own thread.
i have not rollerset my hair in so long i swear i cant remember anything.
i made an appointment for the dominican salon day after tomorrow but im so scurred its been a minute since i went to a salon since being natural and last time i went to the dominican salon they kept burning my scalp with that blow torch
this time i was planning on walking out with just the rollerset and would wrap it when i get home.

but i was thinking, why not try to do it myself? i did it before. but i striggled. once i got the hang of it it would come out nice heres the problem. back then i was relaxed/transitioning and APL, now im fully natural and WL. so i assume it aint gonna be pretty in the bathroom if i try it myself.

so assuming i do it myself, what tips can you give me?

and assuming i go to the dominican salon, do you think my hair will turn out good if i just get a rollerset with no blow out to the roots?

and last question, is it possoble to get heat damage from a rollerset?

There is a rollerset thread or two around here somewhere... but I use Jane Carter leave in and diluted lottabody if I want decent hold. For a roller set and wrap I use Jane Carter's Wrap and Foam...
