I'm doing a bun using the "sock-bun" method. Just wondering what I can place over the socks so that they don't suck the moisture out of my hair. Does anyone know if I can buy a satin cover for the sock bun? Or if you made your own, how did you do it?
Some people use satin socks or try a satin wrap. Pretty sure you would have to make something. For the satin sock, make the satin sock the inner most sock so when you are done rolling that one will be the one "on top" per say.
I used the leg of a pair of tights. I cut the toe part off and put the rest inside a tube sock. I cut the toe part off the tube sock and started rolling from the bottom up. Since the tights were inside the sock they became the outside part of the bun and that's the part that touches my hair. I think that "dont speak defeat" has a really good bun tutorial as well as "Sistaslick"
