Sock buns

First off, I'm sorry if this has been posted already D:

I'm just looking at tutorials on sock buns and it looks like a nice protective style
BUT I just thought; socks are made from cotton and cotton sucks moisture out of your hair. So does that mean that sock buns aren't a good idea? Are there satin bun makers or something?

I wrap my sock buns in knee highs, just cut off one end like you did the sock. You can also get a bun maker from Sallys.
