what do you use for dry scalp?

I had a serious problem with this before I found the Board. I started doing oil prepoos, mixing oils in my DCs, and using Qhemet Amla & Olive Heavy Cream. This ended my dry scalp. I still use the Heavy Cream but I also use EndAll from Hair2heaven and Hollywood Beauty Carrot creme.

I use Keracare Dry & Itchy Scalp Glossifier if my scalp is dry: if not: i'll just spray my scalp as usual w/ Dove Advanced Care: Sheer Mist

I have a dry sensitive scalp, and I remedied the problem by:

1 massaging oils into scalp and hair the night before I poo (usu jojoba or vatika)
2. Dilute my Keracare poo and apply with a color applicator bottle. Shampoo until doing this was a major cause of my dryness problems. I only shampoo once
3. I use Alter ego garlic hot oil treatment on my scalp with every dc. After about 5 uses. I really saw benefits, and will continue to use it.
4. I thoroughly oil my scalp only with Lenzi's request or Natural Oasis pomade
within 24 hours of shampooing or all heck will break loose.
5. I make a pomade of Aloe vera gel, castor, jojoba and maybe other oils if I feel like it. this I apply like medicine, if my scalp starts to feel funny. It is light, moisturizing and soothing.
I hope you can find something in this that will work for you. Until LHCF, I had chronic dryness. Now my focus is maintaining the moisture I have. HTH

I use peppermint essential oil in a sweet almond oil base. The pepp. oil works wonders on my dry scalp!!

My base is coconut oil (hardened) w/rosemary EO and I stir in whatever else I have that's good for my scalp, such as: emu oil, peppermint oil, silk aminos acid, neem oil , rosehip seed oil, etc. Stir it up, it melts into the scalp. It does look very oily at first, but by morning the scalp looks like it did before, but not itchy anymore. HTH

Aloe Vera Gel
It has healing qualities, gets rid of fungus and bacteria and combats dryness.

I use peppermint oil, jojoba, vit e, lavendar and tea tree, rosemary and olive oils all mix togather on my scalp. it smells really good, plus it puts a nice tingle to the scalp:yep:
