What do you do to combat it?

My daughter is 2 and her derm. gave me a light steroid to put on her hair/scalp when she was 6 months, but I don't want to use it ALL the time on her, plus, her hair is sooo thick now--it barely reaches her scalp anyway when I follow the directions for application.

I would love to give her flaxseed oil to help from the inside (not sure how to incorp. it yet though) but I wanted to see what other remedies you ladies use to combat your dry scalp whether topcial, natural or something special w/ your regime.

Thanks!

i would advise using tea tree castile soap or peppermint castile soap- www.drwoodsproducts.com carries a good one that is inexpensive and it is worth a try- if not try dr. bronners tea tree castile soap. Hopefully this will soothe her scalp.

I used Nizoral (RX Strength) for years and it worked great. Now I just used KeraCare/Design Essentials Dry & Itchy Scalp Poo/Cond.

You could also try pre-pooing w/ 100% Coconut Oil, works great too.

I do have Dr. Bronners tea tree castil soap and will give it a try.

I luv the coconut oil pre poo idea also!

Thanks ladies. If this doesn't help I will try a RX shampoo.
