plastic cap...but I reuse them until they can't be used anymore.

I'm looking for one of those conditioning caps that helps keep the heat in though.

I use the plastic caps.
Oh and as far as the charging for grocery bags, some places in Houston have been doing that. Its cheap though like a whole bundle for a $1.

i voted plactic bags.... (um preferably target or another "soft-non-crinkle bag) :yep: if im coloring... i use saran wrap......

Bless,
N. Rebels

never heard of the plastic bag thing...i might try it if i can figure out how to get it tied right. saran wrap sounds good too for keeping the heat in. for now its plastic caps, which i reuse till they fall apart.

I use plastic caps but thanks to a thread I started 50 million years ago (asking how many times people use their caps), I use them til I can't use them no more. I've only used about half from a bag of 20 caps I bought in February.

Yeah, mine has about 30 in there, and I only buy a new pack about once or twice a year.

I use either plastic shower cap , or if i'm out of them I use the "OLD FASHION" grocery bag :lachen:, I used one the saturday before last, but this past saturday I went to Sally's to get some more plastic shower caps.

Tiffers, I'm with you with the plastic bags. I pull the excess together, twist and tuck it under and it stays put.

I bought a bunch of plastic caps from Sally's when they had a sale 20 for $1. This was 2 yrs ago so I'm good for another 2 yrs:grin::grin:

I use plastic shower caps, but I like the grocery bags better because I can make it snug. It reduces the drippies.

I use plastic grocery bags. They're free and get the job done :look:

SIL came by today and saw me with my plastic bag on my head. She looked at me with pity and said "You know, I have some jherri curl bags at the house. I'll bring them by for you, okay?" :lachen:

I do the same thing and always have! :lachen:

lmao, my sister and BIL were laughing at me yesterday because I had a grocery bag on over my towel. He didn't want to say anything, he just looked and turned away. My sister was like "You don't have caps? I'll buy you some caps". She sounded so sad and sincere.

I had a cap on under the towel though. I'll use caps or bags. Whatever's near.

I use plastic disposable caps, if I dont plan on sitting under the dryer Ill wrap a scarf to generate heat.

Fluffylocks, I put the bag on my head and pull all of the extra ''baggage'' :giggle: to the front of my head. Then grab all of the extra bag, twist it around into a plastic bun and wrap a rubber band around it. This makes it really secure. When I sleep with a bag on my head, they don't go anywhere :yep:

Hope I explained that semi-clearly :perplexed

Thanks! Yes that was clear, thats the only reason I never used plastic bags alot becuase when I couldnt go to sleep in them, slipping and sliding off my head LOL, have at least 50 bags in the kitchen....rather use $3 on some conditoner or something LOL

I tried to pick more than one thing because I use them all. I mostly use plastic showercaps but if I am out plastic bags and saran wrap works also.

I have GAZILLIONS of plastic bags and I think I will graduate to using those! I use plastic shower caps though and even tried recycling them until I came across one that I used with coconut milk. Almost knocked me over!

Another plastic bag I use is the produce plastic bag. Y'know when you are getting your avocados and stuff and the bag you put them in? Well I spin that bad boy a couple of times and get like 5-10 bags off of that. Granted this will only work if you don't have a big dome. I put my hair in first and then try to slide the rest of it on my condish loaded head (helps w/slide on). If you can get the bigger bags they sometimes have in the meat section (like in BJ's) that works better if you have a lot of hair, it gives you room.

I have raided a cart @ a hotel I was at for shower caps...(i was at the end of the hall and the cart was there for a few days :).

I like free!

To the ladies that voted ''other'' what are you using?

loolahloo, glad I could be of service :D I have a billion of those bags shoved in a cabinet too. One day I ran out of shower caps and improvised. Been using grocery bags ever since

And I KNOW I ain't the only one using grocery bags! :lachen:

You are far from the only one! Shoot, those bags are free! Why pay for what is essentially the same thing? :spinning: Especially when I have henna on my hair you will NOT find me using my "good" shower caps! :lachen: They cost a whole dollar each, I gotta make 'em last! :lachen: Seriously though, cleaning out a shower cap ONCE after a henna treatment had me :drunk:... never again. I just peel that bad boy off and chuck it straight in the trash.

Plastic shower cap. They are almost free at my BSS and I reuse them. I don't like shopping bags. Too difficult to tie around my massive head and sometimes the dye leaks from the print through the bag to the print-less side on the ones that fit (Target bags)

I gave up on trying to tie them. I just gather up the excess bag as though I were about to tie it, and put a scrunchie/ponytail holder on that bad boy. Problem solved!

I have deep conditioner in my hair with a plastic shower cap on right now.
Is there such a thing as deep conditioning for too long? Lol.

I used to use plastic caps because I had gotten 20 of them for like $1 but now I use the foil cap...I can't really tell a difference and once that thing wears out, I'll probably just go back to plastic caps again.

I prefer to use clingfilm, I use carrier bags on top to help keep the heat in. I've used carrier bags before but sometimes I get run off from oil/honey escaping...

Oh and the once the name off the bag ended up on my forehead LOL It washed off easily enough but it was so scary!
