What do you mix in your conditioner??

Most health food stores and health food grocery stores. For coconut oil-u can get at thos eplaces and also at Indian supermarkets.

Today I took a cheap conditioner and mixed avocado, grapeseed, and shea oil. I also put some vanilla bourbon essential oil and some Loving Care deposit-only color in it. It's a freaky chocolate ice cream color, but I do this for the added shine it gives me. (Plus, I really need to color my hair, but I'm too lazy to do that tonight.)

I usually mix shea oil and olive oil in with all my conditioners for extra moist hair. I use peppermint oil if I want that refreshing tingly feeling on my scalp. I also use honey occasionally

for my Conditionar washes only

I use Sauve comditioners with coconut extract and add coconumt milk to it but not too much

I also do the same with Hello Hydration conditioner

Makes my hair soft and easy to manage...but you can't add too much coconut milk

B Ph lyy: what does the grease added to your conditioner do for you? I think this is done in some Dominican conditioners. bonjour

Honey, evoo, sao, and msm and sometimes castor and/or jojoba :yep: all by hand in a little 4oz cup right before applying.

I finally mixed some oil (jojoba) in my conditioner last night and the end result was spectacular. I should have done this a long time ago.:p

Most times I add EVO and Honey to my conditioners
but I think Im going to start adding my Jamaican Mango Lime Island Oil to my mix along with honey
the island oil has castor, carrot, jojoba, and many other yummy oils
I figure that it is cheaper than buying all those oils seperatly, EVO alone can cost a pretty penny

I usually add two of the following oils to my conditioner: EVOO & Garlic, Jamaican Black Castor, Avocado, Rice Bran or Perilla Seed Oil.

I love mixing things up. :D

I typically use Humectress or Keraphix as my "base" and I add milk powders (coconut or goat) honey, differnt oils, ect...

I also do this with Redken's All Soft Heavy Cream.

Sometimes I warm up the oil and honey before mixing it into the conditoner. I comb it through my hair and then cover with a plastic cap and a hot towel (fresh from the dryer).

Doing this has helped me "stretch" my conditoners and it also gives my hair great gloss and softness.

me too! I mix honey into mine, and it makes it even creamier, and smoother to apply!

It depends on what oils I want to get rid off. I have an oil blend formula that has cocoa butter and shea butter included. I use two capfuls to a 32 ounce conditioner bottle. I blend it very well to distribute it. I dumped the conditioner out of the bottle, add the oil/butter blend, then stir it as if I'm making a cake batter, then pour it back into the bottle with a funnel. This is time consuming, because the conditioners are thick.

From now on, I will not add this oil-butter blend to the bottle of conditioner. I will set aside some conditioner in a bowl and mix the oil-butter blend.

When deep conditioning, I like to add silk peptide powder. I use it just about every DC. I have also been known to add oat protein, wheat protein, honeyquat, guar-cat, aloe vera, and, of course, oils. I like evoo, amla, shikakai, and jasmine oil. I made a mix of red palm oil, aloe vera, honeyquat, and oat protein (and some other stuff) that I use for prepoos and to add to my conditioners. Works great on my hair, especially with heat.

Nothing. I always use them straight out the bottle. If a product doesn't work the way I want it to, adding 50-11 things to it usually won't make it better.

It all kind of depends on which conditioner I am using. If it's a really good, moisturizing con, then I won't add anything to it. But if it's just an average con that I'm trying to use up, then I'll mix it up with castor, olive or avocado oil and sometimes silk amino acids.

I add Jojoba Oil sometimes and also avocado butter. I love my results with these two products. I'm going to start adding castor oil to see how I like that combination.

I'm late, I know it, but where can you find silk aminos sold separate from conditioners??
