Hey ladies, I'm having problems figuring out what to use to make my hair have more bounce and body. Got any suggestions?

Lacio Lacio when rollersetting has been working well for me. You can buy it on Sickbay.biz. It is a leave in. HTH

Bump... how about if you want to wear your hair straight... how do you make it move in the wind lol. (if that makes sense) my hair seems kind of stiff. I know this sounds ridiculous.

i rollerset my hair with water and i put a setting lotion only on the ends. my hair comes out great

That's what I do too....well used to when it was longer.

co-signing with the others. I use a leave-in, preferrably a creme. I've learned to put it on the ends only, to reduce weighted, oily hair.

I agree with all the ladies, rollerset with magnetic rollers using minimal products, sparingly applied to wet hair. When hair is completely dry, remove rollers and style. This keeps my hair light and bouncy for 5 to 7 days until I wash again. I only put tiny drops of oil on my ends at night when I use 2 to 3 magnetic rollers in middle of head (like a mohawk) cover with scarf to sleep. In the morning, remove rollers and hair has enough body so need for products or heat to style. Use rollers large enough for your hair, if the rollers are too small, hair will not come out straight.

The point to achieving bounce and body is "less is more" and not weighing hair down with a lot of products all the time . . .

Oooooh. I've always had just a little body and never any bounce. I load my hair with foaming wrap and oils. I'll try this my next rollerset.

Just putting less stuff in mine makes it bouncy!!! For example, I've been skipping the oil lately when it's down and I have lotsa movement!

I agree with the ladies!!!! Rollersetting has definitely given my hair more "bounceage".  I never thought my hair could have this much body!!! I've also started using a watery leave-in as a setting agent. Using regular setting lotions/foam, setting cream or styling foam leaves my curls too hard and crispy. The watery leave-in gives me soft, full, bouncy curls everytime.

A good wash and conditioning followed by a rollerset (bigger rollers) with setting lotion (I like diluted Lottabody) and very little product (maybe some oil sheen spray). Oh, and zero humidity.

I rollerset my hair with medium to large rollers & use very few produts, diluted setting lotion a little bit of oil my hair comes out great. Works everytime! ;)

I actually think that my hair is bouncy because of the relaxer I have.. ever since I started stretching my relaxers and using Nu Expressions, my hair has gotten thicker and super bouncy/swingy.. something it wasn't before, even when I was at brastrap before an SHS experience. And I say this because no matter how much product I use on my hair, it still swings.

Where do you get Nu Expressions from?

I get it from my stylist.. she gets it from Atlanta in August and February at the Bronner Bros Hair Shows. You have to have a license to buy their products from their website.

I agree with the ladies who posted minimal product on hair or only on ends .. When I have curls from any set, I also finger comb vs using a comb/brush. I encourage my curls to take on a life of their own by falling individually.

What's the daily up-keep to keep hair bouncy? Do you oil your ends every night, every other night, or just leave them be?

Rollerset with minimal product. 1 or 2 products tops.

Same here.I just wash with shampoo, conditioner, add a leave in, spray some setting lotion if i want to keep the curls, then rollerset. It really makes my hair bouncy and healthy looking.

I alternate between oil and moisturizer every night.
