I'm clueless as to how to mix this stuff...and the search engine is NOT working for me?

Can you apply it to wet hair.? what else are you supposed to add besides water?

I plan on letting it sit for about 4-5 hours, I'm not really interested in color release, just for conditioning purposes? How long do you normally let it set.

If someone with a functioning search can provides some threads or fotki albums, I'd greatly appreciate it- I know this topic has been beat to death

Interesting....never heard of a packet of herbs coming with henna. What kind of henna is this and where did you get it from?

It's called Henna Asala (an egyptian source) that I got from an Indian store (where I buy all my ayurvedic products from. The preparation says to to add them to water and THEN add the mixture to the henna and let it set. Its very finely ground (almost powder like) and came with the henna & a set of gloves

So this isn't body-art quality henna....it's made specifically for hair? I have to admit, I haven't heard of this kind or heard of anyone using a type of henna that has a pack of herbs to mix with, and I have been using henna for going on 2 years. Check to make sure the henna and herb pack contain nothing but 100% herbs (absolutely no artificial ingredients or dyes), then proceed as directed. I would assume you mix the herb pack with water and the henna with water and then mix together after the henna has released its color. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks, it says body art quality, and the henna looks like what I've traditionally seen in many fotkis (the color, texture, etc.). I looked up the preparation on line and their used to help release color, but I supposed they are necessary :ohwell:
