What do you do when your hair frizzes up?

Yesterday, I wore a cute rollerset, but it was humid out, and it got a little puffy. I tried to wrap it, but it didn't help.

Normally, I would try to use a curling iron or a flat iron, but I'm a little scared... and I don't have any serum or heat protectant.

Should I just wash again? I just washed and rollerset two days ago. Do you all think it would be too much to wash and rollerset again??

What do you do when your hair gets dry or frizzy?

Pull it into a bun, gel the edges, tie a scarf on 'em, and call it a day.

ETA: I've also been known to stick my head under the facet and do an impromptu wash&go.
