Hi Ladies,
I am interested as New York has decided to become Seattle lately. Before I would have just gone and got a wash and set or blowout but since I am transitioning and trying to be diligent about hair care the salon is a bit of a no-no.
Do you re-moisturize, seal and go back to your protective style or just let your hair air dry and style again since you probably moisturized and sealed in the morning or night before and it is still sufficient?

I always carry a satin cap with me, believe it or not. :lachen: So when it rain, I pull it out and place it on my head and I don't care who sees me. :drunk: Afterwards, my hair still looks GUID!!! I even get kudos from ladies on being so prepared. :yep:

I've been applying Biosilk Silk therapy to my wet hair before rollersetting. That has kept the frizzies away for the most part . I'm about to try Sabino Moisture Block and see how that works.

My hair is always in a bun, so if it gets wet in the rain, I remoisturize, tie it down with a scarf for a couple of hours and I am good to go.

I embrace the rain :lachen:

Ok, seriously - I don't care about the rain anymore, I'm transitioning and my hair is usually held back with a headband and pinned up. Right now it's in a few box braids (no extensions)... so I just get on with my day. When I get home, I do the usual - spray with moisturising spritz and seal with shea mix.

I love getting caught in a light rain or drizzle and don't even bother with an umbrella. I feel like my hair is getting a free spritz of moisture. Since my hair already has lots of texture, it doesn't look much different after it dries, so I wait until my next washday to cowash. That's one of the many things that I enjoy about texlaxing.

I love getting caught in the rain. I don't own an umbrella but when my hair air dries it looks pretty much the same as before. When I get home I might do a co-wash to help retain the moisture.

Assess the damage.

And either rock the slightly frizzy style, or if it's destroyed, chalk it up as a loss and moisturize bun until wash day

LOL
I live in Seattle...You don't get "caught" in the rain. You live in the rain haha. I just keep doing my things as usual. My hair gets frizzy...I don't mind. Or I would stay inside the whole year. I am happy when I flat iron and it lasts the whole day!! the rest of the time I just have a ponytail. Or I used to do braids, but I have decided to stop.
I am going to do the BKT and see if it helps for the frizz and puff

You ladies are funny. I love the rain too and usually don't care for an umbrella. I guess it's this transitioning business which has me weirded out, don't know why though I often would not perm for 6 months at a time and never stressed over it before. Probably because I have goals in life all of a sudden.
