Can the porosity control be used in a condition wash and how can it be used? is it considered a deep conditioner? It says only leave it on for a short time and i thought the deep condtioner you needed to use it with heat. am i off?

I don't think you necessarily need heat to deep condition, although I think it depends on the particular conditioner being used. I used to use porosity control (mixed with another conditioner) with heat and did that for a long time but I've switched to no heat.

I used porosity for a conditioner wash once because it is very detangling so its up to you if you want to use it that way.

When I use it for normal conditioning I leave it on for a good 20 to 30 mins.

BRH, the one I have is made by ROUX and was in a little blue bottle. The color is the same as you desfcribe though. Good idea mixing it with another conditioner though. Is the one you have by Revlon?

re: Porosity Control--
At rouxblue.com it says that the Revlon product in the white bottle and the Roux product in the blue bottle are the same. It's just new packaging. The one that I have that comes in the little packet is a different product.

Thanks for clearing that up Sassygirl. I've been thinking about adding this to my routine once a week as a final rinse. We'll see

I use Ultra Black hair conditioner. I get it from Cathy Howse's web site. Then I use her moisturizer afterwards. I really like her products. I have been using them for a month now.
