I don't do a lot of DCing, mostly co-washing but I'd like to know what products you ladies have had success with using your steamer??

Please share

I'm hoping you can recommend some that I don't have to order online since I prefer to buy from a bricks and mortar store.

TIA!!

I've used the following with my steamer:

Pantene Relaxed and Natural Mask
Silk Elements Moisturizing Treatment
Silk Elements Olive Oil Moisturizing Treatment
Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol

I used the Yes to Carrots so far and the first time I think it didn't agree with my Hair One because of both being so Conditioning leaving my hair dull. Yet, I used it this week and my hair is BOuncy, light and not dull!

I have used pretty much anything to be honest.

At my last hair appt the guy that shampooed my hair suggested I use something lighter the majority of the time. Noting that hair with a coiled curl pattern absorbs more product if it is lighter - he recommended their Design Essentials leave-in for normal maintenance.

I steam in everything!

I steam:

JBCO/Vatika/WGO pre-poo
Henna/Indigo
Joico Intense Hydrator/EVOO/Biolage Hydratherapie

And when my D'fina 11 en 1 gets here, I will steam that in as well!

Great Question OP!!! I was curious about this as well..

I just started steaming but I have used the Silicon Mix Bambu' and Baba De Caracol Hair Loss Treatment so far...

When I steam again - Sunday - I will use a combination of Aphogee and either Nexxus Humectress or Silicon Mix

I have so many DC's that I use them all but I really like Silk Elements Moisturizing Treatment the best thus far.

Thanks for this thread Biancaelyse!

Bumping!

Just received my steamer and I also wanted to know which DC's were being used...

I'm a mixer. I mix 2 or 3 or 4 conditioners, honey, SAA, pathenol and oils together and put it on my hair, then steam.

So far I've done the ORS Replenishing Pack and YTC Mud Mask with the steamer. Both worked well.

I'm going to try Humectress this weekend.

I use Dikson Cremactive Hair Treatment Cream. It's amazing stuff that I pick up from the salon. And I don't always use it with steam either (I don't have a steamer, but I'll use it in the steam room sometimes) and it works great both ways.

I Like to Use My Extremely Thick Conditioners for Steaming. The Thicker the Better, because they all absorb under the Amazing POWER OF STEAM:lachen:

So Bring them On!.....................

Honestly, I like to use any DC Treatment that specifies, leave on for 15-20 minutes, 30 minutes 1 hour. Any of the Thick(er) Repairative Treatments, Intense Treatments, Deep Penetrating Treatments, Masques/Masks, Extreme, Intense Hydrating etc...

My all time favorite DC:
Nairobi Humecta-Sil
Creme of Nature Professional Nourishing and Strengthening Treatment

I also like to use:
LeKair Cholesterol Plus Aloe formula
Aussie Moist 3 minute Deep Conditioner
Lustrasilk Shea Butter with Mango

^^^Yes--Nairobi Humecta-Sil is incredible when used under the steamer. It is tangle-melting wonderfulness!

last week I used QH cholesterol mixed with EVOO & wheat germ oil
today I am using NTM DC mixed with aphogee moisturizing DC & coconut oil I just did DRC-28 so i need double the moisture

I bought the L'Occitane Repairing mask and I have loved using it with my steamer. The smell also lasts for a long time too, which is an added plus.

I hade the most AMAZING steam experience this weekend!!

I oiled my hair overnight with Amla oil and bunned.

I mixed up 100g of Neem powder with 1/3 cup aloe vera juice and 2/3 c water plus 2 tbsp molasses.

Applied the mud to my hair and steamed for 30 minutes.

Let my hair cool and then cowashed with VO5 for Split Ends (protein)

Applied a few drops of castor oil to my wet hair to seal and a little LA Looks gel

I had the softest, most lush and bounciest hair when it dried!! I couldn't stop touching it!!

DD took pics and I'll post later.
