I love CW'ing my hair but sometimes it feels like its not getting as clean as I would like. I got a bottle of Aloe Rid by Nexxus for $5 on clearance at Walmart and I tried it. It was ok but I'd rather not go back to poo. What kind of CO do you use to get you hair clean when you CW? TIA!

Salon Care Conditioners( i have wild cherry, balsam, honey and almond and all-purpose moisturizer)- got these at Sally's

DDTA

DDWL

Dominican Cocktail-primarily used as a deep conditioner- miss keys 10 en 1, rivas silicon mix and emergencia

I was able to find a bottle of DDTA & DDWL at Big Lots in Little Rock.....don't know what I am going to use next, though.

currently, i use DDTA... i also switch up with NTM daily conditioner and (sometimes) Pantene (the curly hair kind)...

I use all V05 conditioners. Another conditioner that I use from time to time for my daily conditioner washes is Suave's Tender Apple, this one works for me as well. :)

I use NTM Daily Deep Conditioner for my CW (2x weekly). Can't really tell how clean it gets my hair because I throw it into a bun, as opposed to trying to style it. I like it.

I love to use Mizani for my CW and my hair loves it too. I recently started using MNT-Deep Conditioner and even my stylist has noticed a difference in my hair. I am at 10 weeks with my relaxer and my new growth is sooooo soft and I'm a true 4a. So go with the MNT!!!

I use a cheapie like suave aloe vera that seems to clean my hair pretty well then follow up with any other conditoner like pantene or garnier.

I love vo5 kiwi and lime squeeze, freeme freesia and Tangerine tickle. Oh i want to try herbal essences rainforest flowers i heard its good.

I use Jason conditioners for my con washes (of course  ). If your focus is on getting the hair clean, I would recommend the Biotin, Lavender, or the one I'm currently using, Apricot.

In the cocktail, what are the measurements of each product? What does this mixture do for the hair--I'd like to try this.

As for CWs, I use Suave Milk & Honey. :)

DTTA is my favorite for co washes.
I also use Suave Milk & Honey and VO5 Straberries & Cream.

Re: What Conditioners do you use to CW?

I use DDTA, White Rain Tropical coconut, Suave Awapuhi, Suave Daily Moisture or any Suave Naturals. I section my hair into four parts and spray each section with a mixture of conditioner and distilled water.

I have a 16oz jar and i usually mix in 4 tblsp of each one. Emergencia is similar to emergencee- so here is your strength/protein, rivas silicon mix and miss keys 10 en 1 provide your moisture. I love it.

Naturallady,
my winter regime usually consists of CW only! I usually use QH Ginseng Conditioner mixed with various oils, which I leave on for a couple of hours. When I rinse my hair I then wash it with QH mixed with a baking soda on alternate weeks, which clarifies pretty well.

Nice. I've gotta try this mix this weekend! Do you use it with or without heat? If so, how long do you sit under a dryer?

Naturallady,
QH is Queen Helene's Cholestral with Ginseng, it is very cheap but good and effective.

I now use Praital silk worm rinse exclusively. My natural hair loves it and it leaves my hair soft and my twists out are elongated as if i had put rods or curlers in it. i just cowash, then on soaking wet hair i rub some pure aloe vera gel thats it and do my twists. two days later when i remove them wowww i get mad compliments on my hair now my twistouts rocks. And i really believe a good conditioner makes the whole difference. Hum that dominican conditioner rocks I m be buying that whole Praital gamme:lol: i finally found something that leaves my hair soft for weeks the texture is just like permed hair. I dont even need grease maybe a tiny bit:) . try Praital for yourself you will love it! i m now their biggest fan hihi i need to stock on them:grin:
