......is bombalicious. My hair felt like I was rinsing out a conditioner with mad slip as I rinsed out............Drummmm Roll Plzzzzz....Optimum Care Bodifying Mild Relaxer for fine hair. Ladies I have found my missing link.
My hair was already healthy and shoulder length BUTTTTT I was underprocessed by two (YES TWO) stylist. One used affirm a couple of yrs. ago and this year in the spring I tried another non-hair doing stylist who did an arosci (severely underprocessed) on my head. I was so mad (I'm doing air kicks right now) LoL. Anyhoo I decided to give optimum one more try and HALLLLLEUIA Thank God I did. Girl this relaxer is amazing "For ME." No burning (and I scratched today), no breakage, no hard stuck together hair. I'm shocked and no 5-6 hr. beauty shop trip w/a non courteous styler wanting a tip. Mamas I thought I was done w/relaxers. My SO thought something was wrong w/me. You guys I couldn't even wrap my hair after coming from the shop. I have a little mixture of 3b/4a and after this hair crack called optimum care bodifying my hair went into a wrap w/no problemo.
History: I went nearly 2 yrs. w/out a relaxer prior to the Arosci.
What I did: Based my entire scalp w/vaseline. Relaxed for 20 mins. (since I was somewhat virgin), followed the steps. Then used my affirm 5 n 1 conditioner and humecto. Next I wrapped my hair w/keracare leave in and no Setting Lotion.
Results: This relaxer and me gone get married. I haven't set a date yet but I will be stocking up on this stuff. You guys my hair looks like it did when I was ten. It is so healthy (thanks to airdrying for the last two yrs. and using moisture/oil seal) and I thank you all for sharing what you do to take care of your hair. I have to give a shout out to Sylver2 and Marcerieamour. I follow a lot of what they do. Like deep conditioning with a towel under a plastic cap and not combing until wash day, etc., etc.........
You Gals who are underprocessed and looking for something to keep body in your hair and regular is too strong for ya give this a try or if u have a good stylist take it to them. I did it myself because I used to work at a beauty school and was taught how to do it. :trampolin
