I know that most of the oils and sheen is for shine and not moisture. I am curious to know what do you think is the best moisturerizer and how does it make your hair feel.

Keracare Light oil moisturizer is a good one. My hair gets weighed down easily and I use this and get good results. I also use a little bit of ORS Carrot Oil, the new formula doesn't contain Mineral oil and I love it, it doesn't smell all that good though

Ditto on the KeraCare lite oil moisturizer. I've heard good things about their regular oil moisturizer with Jojoba Oil - but it's too heavy for my hair. The lite, I can use more frequently without getting weighed down (and it smells good).

But my never-leave-home-without-it is Abba's Nourishing Leave in (For skin and hair). Love it, Love it, Love it.

I'm so glad this thread was started. I get so confused between what everyone is using for daily moisturizing verse leave-in.:confused::confused:

Here are a few good ones Pantene R&N, BB oil moisturizing lotion with castor oil and aloe, BB Moisturizing Growth lotion, Cantu Shea Butter daily moisturizer,
ORS Olive oil creme, ORS Olive Oil moisturizer, ORS Carrot Oil, Keracare creme hairdress...... There are more- too many to name. Try doing a search. Also it depends on if your hair like water based moisturizers or oil based moisturizers. HTH

 That's the thing. A lot of us use leave-in for our moisturizers.

Right now I am LOVING Profectiv Break Free leave-in. I use it daily twice a day.

True, right now I'm using Shea Moisture shea butter leave-in once a day as a daily mositurerizer.

My staple moisturizer is Qhemet Biologics Amla and Olive heavy cream. My hair is soft and moisturized and it's the only moisturizer I've used that gives my hair such a nice shine.

For water base, I like:

Nutrogena TM Silk Touch leave in
Dudly's PCA (but it does have animal protein)
Nexxus Humectress - small amount as leave in

For something with oil, my two all time favorites are:

Jane Carter Solution Nourish and Shine
Jane Carter Solution Hair Nourishing Cream

My staple moisturizer is a recommendation I learned from Sylver2 Neutrogena Silk Touch Leave in Cream on dry hair. I use it as a daily moisturizer and it works great !

I recently discovered Allways Natural Instant Oil Mosturizer Leave-In Conditioner. It moisturizes without making my hair greasy or limp. In addition, it makes my hair stronger. I've noticed much less shedding.

Proline sof n sheen, it keeps my hair moisturized, soft, and easy to comb, theirs no breakage or excessive shedding. I use it prolly every day or every other day, its great and cheap. HTH

Crissi, x

I love the ORS line. My favorite is the ORS Olive Oil moisturizer. So thick and creamy and moisturizing! Love it!!!

My favs are (in no particular order) Mizani Rose H20, Mizani Nighttime Txmnt, ORS Olive Oil (jar) & Qhemet Sidr Butter for when I wear my hair down.

When I'm bunned I like ORS Olive Oil Lotion or Qhemet Amla & Olive Heavy Cream.

OK, today I wore my hair up and I have to wash it later, but I needed some moisture in the meantime. I reached for an older bottle of Allways Hair Oil Moisturizer. I know someone else mentioned it in this thread. This stuff is NICE! For some reason I remember it as being too greasy on my hair, but my hair feels nice and soft, not greasy. Here are the ingredients::)

Herbal Extract (Indian Hemp, Rosemary, Nettle, Sage, Birch, Burdock, Hops, Chaparral, Sunflower Petal), Isopropyl Myristrate, Glycerine,Stearyl Alcohol and Ceteareth 20, Polysorbate 20, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Monostearate SE, Glycol Stearate, Acetamide MEA, Cocoa Butter, Myristyl Myristrate, Aloe Vera, Oil Blend (Jojoba Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Avocado Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Sesame Oil, Olive Oil), Disodium Edetate, propylene Glycol, Lecithin, DMDM Hydantoin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea.

I used to use this long before I discovered hair boards. The ingriedients look amazing. Unfortunately, this product disappeared from Wal-Mart's shelves and I have never been able to find it ever since. Currently NTM Silk Touch is my favorite moisturizer. I also like QB Alma & Olive Heavy Cream. I just purchased Silk Elments Megasilk Leave-In cream and it's fast becoming a new favorite in my collection. :yep:
