ive never been to the dominicans but i kno andis makes salon quality hair tools i personally own an andis hair dryer and i love it and my cousin owns a salon and uses andis blow dryers...hope this helped a lil

old thread, but wanted to add that i have conair yellow bird and it's salon quality and works wonders on my natural hair. i get that swang with it too. has wonderfrul reviews on folica. my sister hipped me to this. i used my first one until it burned out. i love this thing.

you could easily mimic a dominican blow out with it. hth!
