Ok.....I've been trying so hard to keep up with what everyone is doing on here and the little bit I've been doing has helped my hair out tremendously!!!!! :yep: But....I have a few questions......

1.) What are some good conditioners that I can use on my hair? Such as good moisturizing ones....proteins....and just plain ol' deep conditioners. Also....some good leave-ins.

2.) I con wash my hair about every other day or at the most every 3 days and then I usually air dry and then I flat iron it. Now....I know alot of heat is not good on ur hair and the flat-ironing is probably gonna start to damage my hair even more...:ohwell:(I do at least use Silk Elements Heat protectant spray and Infusium 23 everytime I condition my hair.).....but what can I do instead of using the flat iron? Is there any way that I can still be able to wear my signature wrap style without having to flat iron it? My hair is about neck length...maybe a tad bit longer. It stops about 1/2 inch under my chin...so I can't pin it up 2 much or wear buns....so what styles can I wear? I was thinking about possibly wearing it curly?? Like a natural curl...but I dont know how to achieve that look. Or is there a way that I can still wear it in a wrap??

3.) What is the best way to air dry?

4.) And what is good to stop breakage and prevent split ends? I think that split ends are my biggest downfall because my hair will grow...but it can't seem to mantain a decent length because I always seem to have bad split ends. :wallbash:

Well....I don't want to post up 2 many questions....so I'll leave it at those 4 now....but if anyone can help.....I'd appreciate it so much!!! Thankz!!!

Also, my personal quick responses...
1. Moisturizing- Kenra MC
Protein- Keraphix and Aubreys GPB
Other- ORS Paks

2. I laid down the flat iron, my hair just can not take the heat. And I only rollerset now, using the healthy textures method. I also do a wash and go style, with pics in my Fotki.

3. When i airdry, I braid my hair after applying leave in, tie a scarf on top, and then just wear it in a wavy bun the next day.

4. For split ends- I get small dustings periodically, try to keep my ends moisturized, and incorporate protective styling into my regimen

try rollersetting... its better than the flat iron...i like ors for deep conditioning.. and aphoghee. for protein..

I can't really respond to a few of your questions because I don't air dray. However it appears that since you want to airdry and are also trying to stop flat ironing so much, that rollersets, braid outs or wash and go's will be your best options. So I think you may have to lay down your signature wrap for a while. Your other option is to do the roller set and saran wrap method (tutorial by macherie is the best) then use the indirect heat of a hooded dryer. This is probably the only way to achieve your wrap style. In theory, you would only have to apply heat on the days you roller set. The other nights you wrap and comb down in the morning.

I use ORS olive oil as a daily moisturizer and I seal with Vatika OIl.

When I airdry, I put a leave-in in my hair and then put ORS Oilve Oil in my hair and then braid it. So when it dries it is already moisturized and it dont start snap, popping and crackling.

I then take the braids out when it ultimately dry and then moisturize it again.

Thank u so much 2 everyone who has already replied to my thread!!!:iloveyou: I'm going to definitely try the things out!! But I really found the Roller set and Saran Wrap method from Healthy Textures real interesting and I'm going to try it 2morrow! There might still be hope for my wrap w/o all the heat!!!!!

But.....call me greedy...but I'm still bumpin'.....so please.....keep em' comin'!!! :bump:
