Wetting your hair

For all of you who spritz your hair to keep it moisturized, dosn't this ruin your style? Or is this just the case with heat syling? How much can you spritz without ruining a rollerset for example? And if you put things on your ends, does that cause them to frizz in the morning too?

If I use anything "wet" on my hair its normally styled in an updo. I use the oils and light creams for rollersets.
