Yeah i did to but i was looking at a article in Black Hair magazine saying that wet set is better than rollerset. So that's why i thought there was a difference.

I think a wet set is when you set wet hair on rollers and maybe they are referring to a rollerset as just rolling dry hair on rollers. I've done both.

I get much better info here at the LHCF. I don't buy hair magazines, but I like looking through them to look at difference hair styles.

I've never heard of there being a difference...I rarely listen to those hair magazines...they are often wrong when it comes to real hair care.

The lady who does the advice column in Black Sophisticates is always talking about using some "protein aloe vera setting lotion" for a wet set. I have NO idea what she is talking about. I think she does this to avoid promoting brand names but it doesn't help me at all.

Au contraire. There is a difference. I go to the hair salon on the regular and I usually fluctuate between a wet-set and a rollerset depending on what kind of style i'm asking for. A rollerset is good for wearing your hair in a french twist or a nice soft up-do. I'd never wear my hair down with a rollerset because the curls are too flimsy. They'd go south in a heartbeat. On the other hand, a wet-set will last for a good week or longer. The curls are a little bit harder and more resistant to the weather. A wet-set (in my case) only works if it's worn out and free. Trying to pin it up makes it look kind of hard and stiff.
