What products do you use for you roller set to make it come out smooth and flowing. My rollerset always have no movement. I have always used leave-in conditioner, because I do mines wet. My hair never comes out straight and curly.

I use Giovanni Direct Leave-in and KUZ straightening finishing wax in that order.

Coming out of lurk to respond lol. After I wash my hair I leave it fairly wet. I only squeeze a little of the excess water out of my hair. I put in a leave-in after I wash (Kiehls Pathenol and Coconut or Abba Nourishing). I concentrate the leave in on my ends and edges the most(I use a dime-nickle sized amount). I follow that with a couple of pumps of Serum ( I use the Therasmooth serum by Mizani or the Brilliant Serum from Aveda).

I then spray each section I am rolling with plain ol' water to make sure it's lying flat on the roller.

I get bouncing curls every time. The less product the better IMO. If you want a firmer set you can use a wrapping solution (Mizani and others). Sometimes I will use the Mizani curling wax right on the tips when I roll to give myself more hold. However, plain water works just fine for my hair and I am definitely a 4a/4b hair type.

I also must give credit where it is due. I learned about using plain water and leaving hair nearly soaking wet after washing from macherieamour. The tutorials on her site are superior. The set really works. I didn't think plain water would do such wonders but it truly is effective in giving you a very nice set.

I use Keracare Leave-In Conditioner and water. This is the best leave-in conditioner I have found to set my hair with. I think due to its low ph (4.5) is the reason it works so well for my 4b hair. My hair is soft, shiny, and bouncy when I rollerset with this.

You can find Lacio Lacio leave in online at ibeautyny.com
Or in the dominican product aisle at your local asian beauty supply store

Salerm 21 leave-in condioner and Salerm Trigo de Germen (wheat germ deep condioner). Make sure you use a fine tooth comb and that your hair is completely dry before you remove your rollers.
