Has anyone tried them? Do they work? Are they really less damaging to the hair? I am reading that some use infared heat and it "seals the cuticle" locking in moisture. I am curious to learn about everyones experiences. Please chime in!

I've done it on my damp hair before. By damp, I mean 90-95% dry. I didn't like it because I could not get my hair straight, but the hair did not sizzle or anything like that like you would expect. I would try it again if some one knows what kind of products to use to get the hair straight.

Honestly, I don't trust them. It very well might work because i've never tried one, but to me , applying any type of heat on wet hair is damaging. But that's JMO...

I usually do this on my hair, for the most part whenever I flat iron my hair I sit under the dryer until it is about 90% dry and then flat iron it so it is slightly damp. I find that it leaves my hair silky for the most part but if it is too wet it can cause damage, the key is not hearing any popping while straightening it out.

I will continue this method because its quicker and the results this far are good, the pic in my AV was flat ironed on slightly damp hair.

I didn't like it either. I used the wet/dry one by Remington. It didn't do much straightening and I took that thing right back the next day. Qetesh I'm interested in your method...do you do this with a regular flat iron?
