Has anyone used one of these to dry & straighten hair? Were they damaging at all? Any long term benefits or drawbacks?

TIA!

I personally, have not used one. I know that if the hair is too wet, you run the risk of boiling it in your strands. This leads to strand weakness and damage which leads to breakage. Pantene used to have a picture of this on their website. You could actually see bubbles in the hair strand.

I have heard of them but I wouldnt use one if someone paid me to! The name itself scares me to death. A wet to dry iron??
