Barry along with three other stylist (male), including Condoleezza Rice stylist, demonstrated how to PROPERLY texturize and relax hair. Barry also showed how to use razors to cut hair /images/graemlins/nono.gif After demonstrating the use of his new combination comb, all the stylists/students went crazy running to the registers to by this little gadget. So be on the lookout ladies, I don't want these stylists practicing the use of this new tool on your hair!!! /images/graemlins/naughty.gif He warned them to be careful because it is very sharp /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

He also emphasized the use of protein treatments after using razors to "seal the ends" to ward off breakage. /images/graemlins/huh.gif I thought razors were only used to cut WEAVES /images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm sorry I do not believe razor cutting is for black folks hair (or anyone with curly hair) it does a lot of damage and causes split ends that cannot be "fixed" by a protein treatment afterwards. /images/graemlins/nono.gif

Talk about fun /images/graemlins/trampoline.gif Barry and his crew are a trip. They were schooling the students on how to sell more products to future clients. Reasoning if you tell clients that it is healthy to wash weekly you can sell them more of your shops products. /images/graemlins/rofl.gif

I had my hair razor cut at a salon last year. The stylist razor cut me some bangs. I have fine textured hair so I guess it depends on a black woman's hair texture. I think razors give a nice clean cut and it's more precise, but a good pair of really sharp scissors will do the trick anyway. /images/graemlins/wink.gif Halle Berry had her hair razor cut for that short style she sported for a long time...but she's not all the way black. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nothing we haven't heard before. Always use a mild relaxer. You should start in the middle, which he refer to as home base. After 7 minutes you should wash the relaxer out, depending how type the curl pattern is. He kept combing the relaxer thru the entire process.

I found out at the last minute myself, and was told it was only for students/stylists. He gave me a ticket when I purchased my relaxer from his store. When I got there people were just walking in, tho.
They are having another one in the near future, so I will definitely post the info when I receive it
