OK ya'll, after 7 years of rocking my natural hair I went back to a relaxer...for several reasons
1. The product that I LOVED for my natural hair was discontinued about 4 or 5 years ago. The name of it was Kemi Creme Press. Now this was originally a product used for pressing the hair but I used it as a leave in, styling agent. This product protected my hair like nobodys business and made my hair so manageble. I washed my hair on Sunday, twisted it, unravelled Monday morning and was DONE for the week. A dab of moisturizer each day and I was good to go. Sad to say this product is no longer for sale after repeated attempts of contacting the manufacturer.
2. I was a bit lost after that. I tried a plethora of products designed for natural hair, but none did the job.
3. After years of unsatisfactoy results, I started weaving and wigging. I never like rockin fake hair simply because of the maintenance, blending and possible "fake" look.
4. I started half wigging so I could get the front to blend. Got tired of that and damaged my hair in the front from excessive heat.
5. In the end I was unsatisfied with my look and health of the hair. I decided to straighten and get a Halle Berry type hair cut. After straightening though I loved my length and didn't want to give it up just yet!
So now here I am @ LHCF looking to get tips on how to care for straight care.
I know heat is a no-no. So how do I keep a curly flirty look without using heat every morning? I tried using the rods at night, but the curl is always off and looks crazy. maybe I am not doing it write OR is their another solution?
It has been 7 years folks, PLEASE help!!!
