Wen on QVC this weekend

I couldn't resist any longer and I used my 613 for the first time. First of all, I'm not really overly fond of sweet scents but I looovvvve the smell of this and I love that it stays in my hair after I've washed out the product. I also love that the product is very thick. I literally comes out of the bottle and acts more like a solid than a liquid.

So as to my actual experience. First, I sectioned my hair into four sections, then I made sure each section was thoroughly rinsed with warm water. Then I used 4 pumps in each back section and three pumps in each front section of the 16oz bottle. I had to use more pumps then they recommended because my hair is thick. I made sure to thoroughly work the product into each section and I added a splash or two of water to ensure that it was distributed evenly and entirely throughout the section. Next I pinned up each section and took my shower.

After completing my shower, I took down each section and individually rinsed and detangled it under running water. I then turned the 4 sections into two sections. Next, I added 2 pumps to the 2 sections and repeated the procedure I did before. I then let it sit for a minute then rinsed it out again. I hopped out of the shower, blotted my hair with a towel then I wrapped it up in a t-shirt and proceded to air dry which is what I'm doing now.

I decided not to use it as a leave-in because I wanted to see how my hair felt from just being "washed" with the product. Once my hair is 90% dry, I'll be able to really compare 613 to other products I've used for cowashing as well as my normal shampoo/DC procedure. So far I can say my HS comb glided through my hair as I was detangling, my hair smells great, I really liked the tingling sensation I felt when the product was in my hair and to the extent that my hair has already air dried, I like how my hair feels.

The pics below are what my package looked like.

I just used the ginger pumpkin and I don't know how I felt about it. I didn't notice a difference with my hair but I do know I couldn't detangle it, I had to follow up with my tressemme conditioner to use to detangle

Dang, that's a bummer. I used WVM and 613 tonight...my hair feels great and detangling was a breeze. I keep hearing mixed reviews about FGP from here and the forum on qvc.

My hair didn't like ginger pumpkin either. I am returning it

I want to try vanilla mint but I am nervous I won't like it either. 613 and pomegranate have never let me down lol

My hair didn't sit well with ginger pumpkin ideas either, but I absolutely love Vanilla mint and 613.

Will you describe the consistency, amount of slip and how moisturizing vanilla mint is?

Thanks!!

The consistency is similar to wen fig to me and I get great slip from all of the wen products. The smell of this is killer you have to think York Peppermint Patties. Honestly I feel like licking inside of the bottle, but my better senses keep me from doing so.

Thanks JJamiah

I might try it out...

I got ZERO slip from Ginger Pumpkin... :nono: I haven't tried Fig but I really want to! I've already spent enough on my hair recently... Hopefully Vanilla Mint will be available in February.

The 613 has saved my hair life! lol I haven't had a relaxer since 08 and it would usually take me 20 minutes to comb it out in the shower with conditioner on it on wash days. I think I was losing alot of hair from trying to detangle it. Ever since I have used the 613 my detangle time is less then two minutes! This stuff is a God send. I luv it!!! And my beautician even commented that I am retaining more hair and my hair is now longer!! (off to take pics!)

I found a site that sells the gallon size of Wen Fig all year long http://chazdean.com/c-2-cleanse.aspx, but since I've never tried it I'll buy the smaller size from QVC to see if I want to take the plunge. I doubt it will top my love of 613, but then again it's a little bit cheaper so I'll give it a go. Not that I need to spend anymore $ but what can I say? A HHJ is a cruel mistress :), smh.

Chaz is on this weekend....anyone try the mousse yet? How about the Re-Moist Hydrating Hair Mask?

TIA

I'm watching! Bought the WVM oil. Haven't tried the mousse. Seems like it would be good for a twist or braid out. Tried the mask but wasn't impressed.

When Chaz was on QVC for the past few days this week, he was really promoting the styling cream. Chaz even said that he is surprised when someone tells him they are a Wen girl and their hair doesn't look like it should because they aren't using the styling cream. Is anyone here using the styling cream? What do you guys think? Or am I just reading too much into what he said? Wen cleanser has always been promoted as a product that takes the place of everything(shampoo, conditioner, leave-in), so I'm wondering abou this spin on things re: the styling cream.

I was just wondering this too. I recently started using the six thirteen and didn't know if I needed the styling cream and oil for ultimate results.

I think it's his way of marketing the styling cream. But to imply that the hair wont look as good if you don't use it when you've been saying that all you need is the cleanser because it replaces everything is janky to me.:ohwell: Personally, I dont think the styling cream is needed. Perhaps someone who used it will provide their insight.

mmmmaaaaannnn ya'll ain't right. Now I have to find QVC....

I wasn't really feeling the Almont Mint but have heard such great things about 613. I'll see if my wallet agrees.
