Welcome packet?

Hello ladies! I have now signed on at my church to become a "welcome greeter". I will be responsible for making any visitors feel welcomed. However, I would like to give them a lil goody bag to take home with them. I was wondering if you all may have any ideas as to what I could include in it. I plan to do maybe a pen, notepad (I would like them both personalized with our church's name, so any help with online resources would be very helpful!), a few mints, and...that's all I can think of! Oh yeah, and also a lil note inside which will include our service times. So, can you all recommend anything else that I should include? Thanks for any ideas!

How about a recording from a previous service or a free recording of the current service ( they can have a little cupon to redeem it for a copy of the service after the service. My friends church does this and it was a real blessing to me . How about a prayer request card that can be dropped in the collection plate or placed in a special box outside the door. Sometimes when people come to church for the first time they are looking for help.
I hope these suggestions help.

Also I think, something to do. like when members join our church we encourage them to read out John, it helps to understand the entire concept of becoming a christian. Some scriptures verses like Patience, how to pray, Truth, Love your neighbors, tithing, stuff like that. I get stuff like that when I visit my friends church and I love it. it helps me with things i might be struggling with at that moment. Its a list of scripture verses of things we struggle with every day. I will post it later today. I don't have it right now. you can print it out and include it in the packet.

Our church does the previous tape thing. I would say the book marks would be nice. They are also offered bibles that have been left in the church (you wouldn't believe how many we have every sunday). Our church as a little flyer with information on the church and we do business cards with the service days and times and ministry contacts should they need help. I always use VISTAPRINT when I need something printed.

ETA: I am an usher and I know you will Love this area of serving the Lord! Be Blessed.

Pen/Pencil, breath mints..lol.., a few blank sheets of paper with church letter head, church business-like cards with info, a cheat sheet with names/phone numbers of head auxillaries, free meal tickets for the church chicken dinners(if they have them)..lol..ummm...maybe a feedback form for suggestions on how they feel they were treated or how they would change things...(just so you could get a feel of what they think)...can't think of anything else right now....

Thanks sooo very much for the suggestions ladies! I love them ALL!!! I can't wait to pass this on! Thanks again!
