Weave Analysis: Yo-Yo's Sister

I caught the episode of How Do I Look? that featured Yo-Yo (who still looks great...IRL).

What stood out to me most was her sister's weave. I could see the earlength hair sticking out in the pack in at least three areas. It was a different blond and texture. Her weaved hair hung to about midback. There was also something strange going on at the hairline...front and center.

If anyone else saw this can we discuss how this happened and how it could be corrected?

I'm not trying to clown, just really trying to learn here.

But gosh, is a good weavestress that hard to find????????

I saw that episode a long time ago and I don't remember her weave screaming bad weave at me. But IDK. It was a while ago. I mean blonde weaves in general tend to look bad. The lighter shades of hair tend to be drier and don't fare as well as the darker ones because of the processing. And people have to maintain their weaves at home. It probably looked good when she left the salon. But who knows how long she's had it in and if she's taking care of it. I remember when I got my first weave for prom in hs I didn't even bother to wash it for fear of not being able to get my hair that was left out in the front thin enough to blend with the weave like my hair dresser did it. So I just didn't wash it for like a month. I didn't know any better. Maybe she just didn't take care of it. Or bought cheap hair.

At the end, when she hugged Yo-Yo is when the weave really looked TERRIBLE. Her own hair, earlength was showing through in patches. The weave hair looked fine. The difference in texture, color, and length really made it noticeable. I've seen poor blending from the front (Bev Johnson had that problem when she played a flight attendant on Law & Order...her natural hair puckered up and away from the tracks) but usually this isn't an issue in the back.

The more I think about it, I'm gonna say that they went too thin with the tracks. She could've used 1 - 2 more wefts and that might have solved the problem. In the front, I'd say the problem was that she had no discernable part and it made the differences in texture more noticeable.

Thanks! lol That's usually how I look on a weekday. With some gloss on the lips. I don't have time for all that other crap in the morning. There's a lot of pics in my fotki of me with no makeup on though. Maybe her hair own hair is just jacked! Shoot for all we know she could have did that mess herself. There's no reason her hair should have been showing in the back. She had the nerve to get on YoYo's look. She wasn't all that herself. I felt like her whole look was extra. I saw this episode a LONG time ago. Whatever happened to YoYo putting out an album?

Her daughter attended the same school mine did for fifth grade (out in L.A.) I didn't know this until graduation day and I saw her and was like WOW!! She looked almost unchanged. I had to tell her and she was appreciative and friendly. I think she said then that she had an album coming out, etc.

I thought this was a new episode of HDIL? so I was happy for her...until I read your post and realized the truth.

Did you hear the song they all sang at the end? "Oooh nooooo! Guess who's back? It's the West Coast Diva that helped put it on the map. It's Yo - Yo....Yo - Yo!"

Unfortunately, that was a bad, bad sign....

Well Tyra sucked at singing. She needed to stick to her day job. Yo Yo did have hit records once upon a time... LOL yeah I saw it months ago. I don't even remember when. I think it was over the summer but it might have been earlier than that.
